Signed by Gordon Dalziel at the start of Season 2007/08, John Paul or JP made his debut comning off the bench against Lugar Boswell Thistle and three days later he made his first start and bagged a brace against Kello Rovers. JP went on to bag three more braces in the season, including one in his league debut away to Irvine Meadow. JP ended the season as the club's 2nd top goalscorer with a total of 11 goals. His league goal against Beith at Loch Park had to be seen to be believed.
